SALARY

As of May 1, 2024, the annual starting pay for a Police Officer is $83,843. Employees are paid bi-weekly on Fridays, with 26 pay periods per year.

Bartlett also offers salary augmentation by annual uniform allowance, protective vest issuance and replacement, longevity increases, tuition reimbursement, and physical fitness incentive.

RETIREMENT

Police officers contribute to the Illinois Police Pension Fund which provides retirement, disability, and death benefits. To qualify for a retirement pension, police officers hired after January 1, 2011 must be at least 55, have at least 20 full years of creditable service, and no longer work as a police officer for the Village of Bartlett.

In addition, Bartlett offers Section 457 Deferred Compensation investment plans, Roth IRA program, and a Retirement Health Savings Plan.
